Expert Marble Repair
Lemon juice on Calacatta. Red wine on Carrara. A glass dropped on a Statuario edge. Marble is gorgeous but reactive, and that's exactly why it needs specialists, not general contractors.

Marble is calcium carbonate, the same mineral in chalk and limestone. That chemistry means any acid (citrus, vinegar, tomato sauce, even some cleaners) etches the surface on contact, leaving dull spots that look like water stains but are actually tiny pits dissolved into the stone. This is fundamentally different from granite or quartz damage. Our marble repair process starts with diamond honing to level the etched area, then progresses through polishing grits to restore the original sheen. For chips and cracks, we use calcium-based fillers that mimic marble's natural translucency rather than opaque epoxies that look like patches. We also convert finishes: taking a tired polished marble to a modern honed look, or restoring a worn honed surface to high gloss.

Frequently Asked Questions
There are dull rings on my marble from glasses. Are those stains?
No, those are etch marks, not stains. The condensation or liquid reacted with the calcium in your marble and dissolved the surface slightly. Stain removers won't work because it's physical damage, not discolouration. We remove them by diamond-honing and re-polishing the area.
My cleaner left streaky dull patches on my marble. What happened?
Your cleaner likely contained acid (vinegar, citrus, or "bathroom" cleaners). Even brief contact etches marble. We restore the uniform finish through polishing. Going forward, use only pH-neutral stone cleaners.
Can you make my polished marble look honed (matte)?
Yes. We can convert polished marble to a honed finish across the entire surface. Honed marble hides future etching better and gives a more contemporary, soft look. The reverse (honed to polished) is also possible.
A corner of my marble vanity chipped. Will the repair match the veining?
We tint the fill material to match your marble's base tone, then hand-paint veining across the repair using fine pigments. On Carrara and similar busy marbles, the result is typically undetectable.
How is marble repair different from granite repair?
Marble is soft (Mohs 3) and acid-reactive. Granite is hard (Mohs 6-7) and acid-resistant. Marble damage is mostly chemical (etching) while granite damage is mostly mechanical (chips). The repair materials, techniques, and finishes are completely different.
