Precision Quartz Repair

Hot pans, dropped objects, and shifting seams cause most quartz damage. Unlike natural stone, quartz contains resins that require different repair materials and techniques, and that's our specialty.

About This Service

Engineered quartz (Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria, MSI, LG Viatera, and others) is made from crushed quartz bound with polymer resins. That resin makes it non-porous, but it also makes it vulnerable to heat, a problem natural stone doesn't have. Hot pan burns discolour the resin and can cause crazing (micro-cracks visible in certain light). Impact chips in quartz also behave differently: the resin creates a cleaner break than natural stone, requiring specific bonding agents. We use quartz-specific repair compounds that bond with both the mineral and resin components, then sand through progressive grits to restore the factory finish, whether that's polished, honed, or textured.

Why Choose Us

Heat Burn & Scorch Repair

We remove yellowed or whitened burn marks caused by hot pans and straightening irons.

Brand-Specific Colour Matching

We reference manufacturer colour codes for Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria, and others.

Resin-Compatible Bonding

We use adhesives engineered for polymer-bound surfaces, not generic stone epoxies.

2-3 Hour On-Site Visits

Most quartz repairs are completed in a single visit without removing the countertop.

Factory Finish Restoration

We match polished, honed, suede, or concrete finishes to your specific slab.

Seam & Joint Re-Bonding

Separated seams are cleaned, colour-matched, and re-bonded flush to the surface.

Our Process

  1. Send photos with your quartz brand if known
  2. We identify the colour code & formula
  3. Clean and prep the damaged area
  4. Apply quartz-specific bonding compound
  5. Wet-sand through progressive grits
  6. Finish to match your slab's texture

Frequently Asked Questions

I put a hot pan on my quartz and now there's a white mark. Can you fix it?

Yes. Heat discolouration in quartz is caused by the resin scorching, not the stone. We remove the damaged resin layer, apply a colour-matched compound, and refinish the area. Light burns come out completely; severe ones may retain a faint shadow.

My quartz has a chip but the installer said quartz can't be repaired. Is that true?

No. Quartz can absolutely be repaired. It just requires different materials than natural stone. We use polymer-based compounds that bond with the resin in your quartz. Most chip repairs are virtually invisible.

There are fine lines on my quartz that weren't there before. What are they?

Those are likely crazing lines caused by thermal shock (hot pan, then cold water). They're micro-fractures in the resin layer. We can fill and polish them out in most cases.

Does quartz need sealing after repair?

No. Engineered quartz is non-porous and never needs sealing, before or after repair. Anyone recommending sealing for quartz is misinformed.

What's the difference between repairing quartz and granite?

Granite is natural stone held together by mineral bonds. Quartz is crushed stone held together by polymer resins. The repair materials, bonding agents, and finishing techniques are completely different. Using granite repair products on quartz will fail.
