Restore Your Stone's Shine
Your countertop looked stunning when it was installed. Years of daily use, micro-scratches from plates, and worn-off factory polish have dulled that finish. Diamond polishing brings it back, often better than new.

Stone polishing isn't cleaning. It's mechanical resurfacing. We use a sequence of diamond abrasive pads (typically 50 to 3000 grit) to physically reshape the stone's surface at a microscopic level. Each pass removes scratches left by the previous grit until the surface is optically smooth enough to reflect light uniformly. The result is the deep, liquid-looking shine you see in showrooms. For honed finishes, we stop at a lower grit to achieve a velvety matte texture. We polish granite, marble, quartzite, limestone, travertine, and other natural stones. Each stone type requires different pressure, speed, and grit sequences. Marble polishes quickly but scratches easily, while granite requires more aggressive initial grits but holds its polish longer.

Frequently Asked Questions
My granite countertop looks dull even after cleaning. Why?
Dullness is caused by micro-scratches from daily use. Plates, pots, and cleaning scrubs create thousands of tiny scratches that scatter light instead of reflecting it. No amount of cleaning will fix it because it's physical surface damage, not dirt. Diamond polishing removes those scratches.
How long does polishing last before it dulls again?
On granite, a professional diamond polish typically lasts 5-10 years with normal residential use. Marble dulls faster (2-4 years) due to its softness. High-traffic commercial surfaces may need annual touch-ups.
Can you polish just the worn areas instead of the whole counter?
We can, but we recommend full-surface polishing for a uniform result. Spot-polishing can leave visible transitions between polished and unpolished areas, especially on lighter stones.
What's the difference between polishing and sealing?
Polishing is mechanical: it reshapes the surface with diamond abrasives to create shine. Sealing is chemical: it fills pores with a protective compound to resist stains. They solve different problems and both are usually needed.
Will polishing remove etch marks from my marble?
Yes. Etch marks are surface damage where acid dissolved the marble. Polishing physically removes that damaged layer and reveals fresh, undamaged stone underneath. It's the only real fix for etching.
